1947 Triumph T100
Zero miles since restoration
Added to Hamilton Collection in 2007
500cc engine
4-speed transmission
The Tiger 100, the successor of the Speed Twin model in 1938, was aptly named as it provided genuine 100 MPH performance, and this amazing 1947 model has been lovingly restored to an exceptional standard. The early Tiger 100 was arguably the prettiest Triumph ever with its big chrome gas tank and silver panels lined in blue pinstripes, its instrument panel placed on the tank top and a simple Smiths Chronometric speedometer featured on the telescopic forks. These first postwar models were especially lovely, and the chromed tank with inset panel was used for only two years with the teleforks before modernization with the parcel rack on the tank. The Tiger 100 was the gold standard of performance in the 1940s, and as such, a coveted machine around the world. This 1947 Triumph Tiger 100 is a beautiful and exactingly restored motorcycle that was added to the Hamilton collection in 2007 and has had zero miles added since its restoration. Its 500cc twin-cylinder motor gave terrific performance, and this bike is ready for show or go.
